Berlin spoken word is a volunteer organization that runs weekly open mics in Neukölln. 🎤
Since 2015 they have been encouraging all types of expression: poetry, storytelling, performance art, music and more! Though hosted in English, the space welcomes all languages and is focused heavily on building community and being a comfortable, welcoming place to share your experiences through your art.

Alexander Norton (she / her) is an artist of various mediums. She works within performance and creates experiences of human condition. She specifically focuses on absurdity as a special interest. She has worked obsessively with poetry over the years and seeks to document feelings, thoughts through humorous, emotional and direct means.

Hunter Storm (1999) is a writer, entomologist, and poet based in Berlin. His work focuses on change and movement, both within a trans body and through the environment of the city. Andrea is an artist working in the field of contemporary music. A few months ago, she discovered that writing words is not so different to writing music. Her poetry swings violently between comedy and tragedy, using rhythm and wordplay to comment on the inconvenient emotional reality of being a human.

Robert Eckstein is a poet and lucid dreamer. Inspired by what’s happening in this waking and dream life, he writes to process what’s on his heart and mind.

Lau Klinger is a primary school teacher by day and a poet and musician by night. Originally from a small town in rural Australia, she now lives in Berlin, where she runs Siblinx, a monthly FLINTA* open stage, and regularly performs at events such at Berlin Spoken Word and Read Wedding. She also enjoys writing whimsical songs on the ukulele, cooking elaborate vegan meals and riding her red bicycle.

Turbo is a lyrical, satirical, & sometimes polarizing child of chaos.. He is the darkest version of many personalities. Using wit, vigor, & Brooklyn rooted grittiness, Turbo is known for saying the quiet part out loud.

Saskia is a writer. Her poetry is about sensuality, heartbreak and reclaiming her narrative. With her words she explores and exposes her wounds and her healing, often highlighting her deep connection with nature.

Ms. Butterfly is always flowing, she grew up in China and studied university in the US. She believes that everything is always changing. She is an educator, performer and facilitator interested in healing through the expressive arts. Her creations are influenced by strands in the realms of eco feminism, plum village and de-colonialism.
